Freyja is a Transportation Planner and Engineer with dual master’s degrees from Georgia Tech. She started at MMP as a completely remote intern during the pandemic. While at Georgia Tech, her research included sidewalk network continuity, public health communication through data visualization, post-disaster transit use, and bus garage location optimization. Her skills include data and spatial analysis, survey design and analysis, statistics, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Before returning to MMP, Freyja received a Fulbright grant to research the role of digital twins in sustainable transportation planning at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. She previously interned at the City of Douglasville’s Community Development department, where she led interdepartmental conversations on community sustainability. Freyja was the 2021 Student Representative for the APA LGBTQ and Planning Division and served with AmeriCorps at Habitat for Humanity before attending Georgia Tech. Freyja is passionate about expanding sustainable transportation access, cross-sector research collaboration, and helping people work towards the community of their dreams.
