Hunter Abel has over eight years of experience in multimodal transportation planning, specializing in public transit. As a certified planner (AICP) with a Master's degree in City and Regional Planning from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Hunter brings a unique perspective shaped by his diverse experience across transit agencies, state departments of transportation, and counties and local municipalities. Throughout his career, Hunter has developed expertise in overseeing transportation projects starting from the planning stage through implementation. His skills include project management, communications with executive leadership, agency and municipal coordination, and recommendation development and alternatives analysis.

Prior to joining MMP, Hunter worked with the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) in Atlanta, Georgia and Lee County Transit in Fort Myers, Florida to support a variety of projects including transit service planning, jurisdictional coordination and public engagement, innovative transit modes research, and National Transit Database (NTD) reporting. Since joining MMP, Hunter has continued working with clients to understand their key challenges and identify and implement solutions that align with their values while ensuring efficient use of available resources.
