Julia has over 9 years of transportation and land use planning experience, working on a wide range of project types from corridor and neighborhood plans to city-, region-, and state-wide plans.
After earning a Master's of Urban Planning degree from the University of Michigan, Julia was a transportation planner in GDOT’s Office of Planning working on high-profile transportation planning studies in the metro Atlanta region. She also has experience in land use planning and zoning from her position as a planner with City of Atlanta’s Department of City Planning where she focused primarily on neighborhood and small area planning, Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) studies, and the comprehensive development plan. Julia joined Modern Mobility Partners in 2019 and has worked a variety of projects, such as comprehensive transportation plans, transit planning, and research studies. She also leads Modern Mobility Partners’ public and stakeholder engagement efforts on several projects and is highly knowledgeable on digital and in-person strategies and tactics to build consensus throughout the planning and engineering process.
Julia’s experience lends her valuable insight into the essential relationship between land use and transportation planning. Her strengths are in project management, community engagement, research, writing, and data collection and analysis.
