The Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act (or FAST Act) requires performance-based transportation planning and greater transparency in project evaluation and selection. Through a continuous and strategic approach of conducting accountable and transparent project evaluations and monitoring performance measures, wise investment and policy decisions can be made to achieve the seven national Federal Highway Program performance goals established by Congress.
In addition, project evaluation and prioritization spreadsheet tools, such as those previously developed by the co-founders of Modern Mobility Partners, are valuable to transportation agencies for their ability to demonstrate the benefits of transportation projects.
Modern Mobility Partners can develop dynamic tools and frameworks to evaluate, select, and prioritize projects for funding. Furthermore, the current increase in mobility options and trends is leading to new performance measures that have not yet been considered in project selection.
